Montgomery County OPTIONS
Staying Home, Living Independently
Through the Montgomery County OPTIONS Program, eligible residents can receive in-home care services based on their individual needs — helping them maintain independence and quality of life in the community.
What Is the OPTIONS Program?
The OPTIONS Program is a county-funded initiative administered by the Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services. It provides a range of supportive home care services to older adults who need assistance with daily activities but wish to live independently in their own homes.
ACS Homecare is an approved OPTIONS provider. Our Care Coordinators work directly with the county to match eligible clients with the right level of care — at little or no cost depending on income.
Services We Provide
Our trained caregivers provide a full range of in-home support services tailored to each client's individual care plan.
Personal Care
Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living to support safe, dignified independence at home.
Meal Preparation
Planning, preparing, serving, and cleaning up nutritious meals tailored to the client's dietary needs and preferences.
Light Housekeeping
Laundry, vacuuming, dishes, and general tidying to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
Medication Reminders
Reminders to take prescribed medications on schedule, supporting health management and safety at home.
Transfer Assistance
Safe assistance with moving between bed, chair, and other positions to prevent falls and support mobility.
Range of Motion & Ambulation
Guided exercises and walking assistance to help clients maintain strength, flexibility, and safe movement.

You may be eligible for OPTIONS Program services if you meet the following criteria:
- Montgomery County resident
- Age 60 or older
- Need assistance with activities of daily living to remain safely at home
- Not currently receiving duplicate services through another program
Cost is based on a sliding scale depending on income — many clients pay little or nothing.
