Attendant care is an alternative to nursing care. It is long-term care that assists mentally alert adults with physical disabilities who are in need of help with daily living activities. This program is for individuals who may need care equivalent to a nursing facility yet wish to remain in the comfort of their own home. This is a medicaid-based program.
